1. About ComebackPath
ComebackPath is an ACL recovery companion provided by ComebackPath Ltd, trading as ComebackPath.
It provides education, reminders, tracking and general rehab support.
2. General support only
ComebackPath does not diagnose, treat, prescribe, provide medical clearance or replace advice from a physio, surgeon, doctor or clinician.
The app is designed to help you organise recovery information and build consistency alongside your clinical plan.
3. Follow your clinician’s guidance
Always follow the restrictions and instructions given by your physio, surgeon, doctor or clinician.
If your clinician gives advice that differs from ComebackPath, follow your clinician’s advice.
4. Not medical clearance
ComebackPath does not clear you to run, jump, lift, train, play sport or return to contact sport.
Return-to-run and return-to-sport decisions should be discussed with your physio or clinician and should be based on your recovery stage, symptoms, strength, control and clinical milestones.
5. Stop if symptoms worsen
Stop an activity or session if:
- Pain feels sharp
- Symptoms worsen during or after activity
- Swelling increases
- The knee feels unstable
- You feel sudden weakness
- Something feels unusual or concerning
If you are unsure, pause and discuss it with your physio or clinician.
6. Seek urgent help when needed
Seek urgent medical help or contact emergency services if you have severe pain, sudden weakness, chest pain, difficulty breathing, signs of infection, major swelling, calf pain with concerning symptoms, new numbness, loss of bladder or bowel control, or anything that feels serious or unusual.
7. Procedures can change restrictions
Your restrictions may be different if you had a meniscus repair, meniscus trim, LET, cartilage procedure, additional ligament injury or any other procedure alongside ACL reconstruction.
ComebackPath asks about these details to add safety rails, but it cannot replace your surgical notes or clinician’s advice.
8. Recovery varies
ACL recovery is different for every person. Timelines can vary based on surgery type, symptoms, strength, confidence, swelling, pain, sleep, training history and clinician guidance.
Use ComebackPath as a support tool, not as the final decision-maker.
9. No NHS approval claim
ComebackPath is not an official NHS app and does not claim NHS approval.
